Ranking based on its annual survey on venture capital firms operating in Mainland China. Due to the short history of China Venture
Capital industry, it is hard to use IRR as the best criteria to reflect the real performance of China Venture Capital firms.
According to the real situation of China venture capital industry, Zero2ipo carries out all-round investigations into venture
capital firms covering investment, management, financing and exit etc. We adopt total amount of capital raised, total deals closed,
total amount of capital invested, total number of exit cases, and total amount of exit value as major ranking indexes, and adjust
them annually to best match the development of China venture capital industry.
Based on its annual survey on 175 domestic and foreign venture capital firms in
Mainland China in 2001, Zero2ipo launched its first rankings including "China Top 50 Venture Capital Firms 2001", "China Most
Active Venture Capitalists 2001". This is also the first VC ranking in China, In 2002, with the suggestions from dominant experts
and experienced venture capitalists, Zero2ipo made significant improvements on its ranking indexes. Based on its annual survey on
325 domestic and foreign venture capital firms in Mainland China, it released Zero2ipo-China Venture Capital Annual Ranking again,
which includes "China Top 50 Venture Capital Firms 2002", "China Top 10 VC Fund Managers 2002", "China Top 10 VC Fund Raising Managers
2002", and "China Top 10 VC Investors 2002".
In the past years, Zero2ipo China Venture Capital Annual Ranking received strong
support and favorable comments from both domestic and foreign venture capital firms in China. It was also quoted by many famous
financial and economic media. Now it is the sole comparatively objective and authoritative ranking system to evaluate venture
capital firms operating in China. Meanwhile, the annual awarding ceremony for the ranking has become a highlight event in China.
