		Lip-Bu Tan is the Founder and Chairman of Walden International, which manages over US$1.6 billion in venture capital funds. He has been active in the venture capital industry for the past two decades. Lip-Bu also introduced and pioneered the U.S. venture capital concept in Asia, and contributed towards the promotion of early-stage technology investing in the Asia-Pacific region. Lip-Bu focuses primarily in industries relating to communications, semiconductor/ components and software. He was responsible for the investment and exits of the following companies either via IPO or M&A: Communications: Accelerated Networks (OTCBB: OCCM), Endwave Corporation (NASDAQ: ENWV), GVC Corporation (TSE: 2322), Network Peripherals Inc., Premisys Communications and Teak Technologies. Semiconductor/Optical Components: Apexone Micoelectronics, Inc., Centillium Communications (NASDAQ: CTLM), Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE: CY), Greenfield Networks, Huaya Microelectronics Inc., Integrated Circuit Solution Inc. (TAISDAQ: 5473), Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISSI), Leadis Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: LDIS), Multiplex, Inc., Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC; NYSE: SMI; HKSE: 981), Telegent Systems, Tilera Corporation and Xponent Photonic, Inc. Computer Peripherals: Creative Technology (NASDAQ: CREAF) and UMAX (TAISDAQ: 2348). Software/Internet/IT Services: MediaRing.com Ltd. (SES: MR) and SINA (NASDAQ: SINA). Lip-Bu currently serves on the Board of Advances Micro-Fabrication Equipment Inc. (AMEC), Ambarella, Beceem Communications, Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NYSE: CDN), Creative Technology (NASDAQ: CREAF), Flextronics International (NASDAQ: FLEX), Inphi Corporation, Mindtree Consulting, SINA (NASDAQ: SINA) and SMIC (SMIC; NYSE: SMI; HKSE: 981). Lip-Bu is a board member of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), a member of the Committee of 100, a member of the VC Advisory Board of Fabless Semiconductor Association (FSA), A trustee of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and a member of both the Dean’s Advisory Council for the School of Engineering and the Visiting Committee for the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Lip-Bu also serves on the board of San Francisco Opera, and is an Emeritus Trustee of the University of San Francisco.
