Dr. Huang has been well recognized as an information technology expert and outstanding overseas returnee by the Chinese government since founding Ambow six years ago with the vision to leverage China's cost-effective software talents and great education market potential with the US' advanced Internet technology to become the leading technology and service provider in China.. In 2001, Dr. Huang pioneered the idea of establishing a China e-Learning standard committee under the Ministry of Education of China to allow nationwide content sharing. Ambow was the only corporate member of the committee at the time. Dr. Huang has been invited as an advisor by Beijing and other local governments and has received invitations to serve as a guest professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and Beijing Normal University. She is also regularly asked to provide input to local governments before big policy decisions are made. Dr. Huang has over 15 years of academic and industry experience in Silicon Valley. Prior to founding Ambow, Dr. Huang was a founding engineer at Avant!, where she was responsible for product design and the engineering management. Avant! developed integrated circuit design automation software solutions and was acquired by Synopsys in 2001. Dr. Huang graduated from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and the University of California at Berkeley.
