		Joined New Horizon in 2008. Prior to joining New Horizon, Mr. Quek led a distinguished career in a number of senior management positions at United Overseas Bank (“UOB”), one of the largest banks in Singapore. His positions at UOB included Executive Vice President of International Business Sector Head of Greater China, President and CEO of UOB China and Managing Director of UOB Venture Management. Mr. Quek has close to 30 years of senior management, banking and direct investment experience, and has managed several independent venture capital and private equity funds since 1994. New Horizon Capital is a private equity firm established principally to make equity investments in state-owned enterprises and privately-owned enterprises in the People’s Republic of China. Since its inception in 2005, New Horizon has focused on investing, transforming and growing businesses which have strong underlying fundamentals, high growth potential and are primarily in the manufacturing, alternative energy, life science & healthcare and consumer products & services industries. Through its Fund I and Fund II, New Horizon has over $600 million assets under management and 20 plus portfolio companies, 6 of them listed in China's domestic and overseas stock exchanges. New Horizon has a seasoned team of 19 investment professionals and 13 supporting staff. With over five decades of cumulative experience and a wealth of practical knowledge regarding the business and regulatory environment, the investment team has established one of the strongest track-records of investing in SOEs and POEs in the PRC. This is evidenced by the large number of significant transactions which it has successfully executed since Fund I’s inception.
