He has been engaged in private equity related business for 16 years for Mitsubishi Corporation in Tokyo and in London. In 2000, Mitsubishi established the first private equity FoF in Japan ("MCC-PCG International Private Equity Fund"). Since 2002, he serves for AIC as EVP and has been managing its business including "AIC Japan I"(FoF which invests in Japanese and Asian funds, vintage 2002), "AIC Japan II"(vintage 2006), "AIC-PCG Global Private Equity Fund I"(FoF which invests in US and European funds, vintage 2004) and other non-discretionary advisory assignments. He was appointed as President & CEO in March 2007.
Mr. Kobayashi received his Bachelor degree of economics form Hitotsubashi University in 1984.
