JP Gan, Qiming Venture Partners, Managing Director


		Mr. JP Gan is a Managing Director of Qiming Venture Partners. He has over ten years of experience in investment and finance. Prior to joining Qiming, he was the Chief Financial Officer of KongZhong Corporation (NASDAQ: KONG), a leading wireless internet company in China. Prior to KongZhong, Mr. Gan spent five years at The Carlyle Group and was a Director responsible for venture and growth capital investments in China. He led Carlyle’s first-ever investment in China - AsiaEC.com (acquired by Office Depot) and a number of successful investments including Ctrip.com (IPO in 2003) and Amperex Technology Limited (acquired by TDK of Japan). Mr. Gan also worked as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch and as a consultant at then-Price Waterhouse. Mr. Gan obtained his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and his B.B.A. from the University of Iowa. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the United States. Mr. Gan has served on the Board of Directors of Ctrip.com International Limited (NASDAQ: CTRP) since 2002. He is also on the board of Love21cn, Juren Education, PPS TV and Oriental Cambridge.
