Tina Ju is the founding and managing partner of KPCB China. She is also the founding and managing partner of TDF Capital. Tina brings a combined 20 years experience in venture capital, investment banking and operation. She joined VTDF in 1999 as Managing Director and Co-founder of VTDF China Fund, and founded TDF Capital China in 2005. In April 2007, the new U.S. $360million KPCB China Fund was launched to back Chinese entrepreneurs and to promote innovation in high-growth industries in China. Tina¡¯s focus areas of investment include internet, media, consumer services, alternative energy and green tech. Since 2000, she has involved in 20+ investments, including Alibaba, Focus Media, Baidu, etc. Her board participation includes Alibaba, Hurray, Cgen, Yicha, Oriental Wisdom, ChineseAll, UAA, Huizhong, Datuu, etc. Five successful IPO and three M&A exits have established her outstanding achievements in the VC industry. In the past 3 years, Tina has been awarded Top Ten Active Venture Capitalist by Zero2IPO in 2005, China Best Venture Capitalist by Forbes China in 2005 and 2006, and Best PE Investor by China Business News in 2007. Prior to venture capital, Tina served as the CFO/COO for PrivyLink, a portfolio company of TDF. She spent 12 years in investment banking at Deutsche Bank (Head of TMT and Transport Asia), Merrill Lynch (Head of Asia Technology and Corporate Finance Execution Team), JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs. Tina holds a MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from UC Berkeley. |
