Hugo Shong is the Executive Vice President of International Data Group (IDG), President and CEO of IDG Asia/China, and Founding Partner of IDG Technology Venture Investment (IDGVC).
In 1993, Mr. Shong helped IDG set up the first technology venture fund in China, which now has $800 million under management.
Mr. Shong completed the Harvard Business SchoolӮs Advanced Management Program in the fall of 1996. He was a Research Fellow at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy 1987-88 and earned a Master of Science from Boston UniversityӮs College of Communication in 1987. He graduated from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 1986 with a Journalism degree and he completed his undergraduate work at Hunan University in 1981.
He is now a trustee of the Boston University and chairman of China Venture Capital Association (CVCA).
