With the rapid development of China's economy, more and more Chinese companies are looking to the international stock markets to raise capital. 2007 was a record year for Chinese IPOs, with 242 Chinese enterprises raising US$104.83 billion on domestic and overseas markets. Of these, 118 tapped the overseas markets, including NASDAQ, AIM and HKEX, raising US$39.75 billion in the process.
Whilst going public overseas is seen as a good way for Chinese companies to get investment and capital to expand their business, the differences in the legal environment, language and culture mean that Chinese companies can find an overseas listing a challenge. This seminar aims to provide a better understanding of the global capital markets, with a focus on NASDAQ, AIM and HKEX , and will discuss how Chinese companies can better prepare themselves for an overseas listing, sharing the invaluable experience and in-depth insights of a pre-eminent panel of experts. |
